Become a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Resident

The PMSR/RRA training program at CUSOM-PHX participates in the CASPR/CRIP process. Applicants must complete their application through the Centralized Application Service for Podiatric Residencies (CASPR) and designate the Creighton School of Medicine – Phoenix program as one of interest to be considered for an interview.

Required materials for a complete application:

  • Submit application through CASPR.
  • Letter from your Dean or Bursar stating your cumulative GPA, class rank and good standing.
  • Pass APMLE (American Podiatric Medical Licensing Exam) parts I and II.

After Your Application is Approved

After an application is approved through CASPR, individual interviews are completed at the Centralized Residency Interview Program (CRIP), an interview event for residency candidates and residency selection committees to conduct face-to-face interviews. Once interviews have concluded, the program’s residency selection committee will meet and discuss candidates in order to determine the program’s rank list. Applicants will be informed through email whether or not they have been ranked.

Our program proudly supports and adheres to the Standards and Practices for Residency Selection as mandated by the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine’s (AACPM) Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH).

We encourage applicants to reach out to our program for any questions regarding the application, interview and match process.
