During Summer Preview, you will connect with a faculty advisor, register for classes, meet other incoming students, and participate in presentations about residential life and housing, mental health, financial aid, preparing for college academics, and more!
Registration for Summer Preview 2025 will open at 8 a.m. (CDT) on May 1 in your Student Portal. In-person and virtual options will be available.
Summer Preview takes place during the first two weeks of June, and dates will be announced soon. In the meantime, check out the details provided below for what to bring, what to prepare before you arrive, and more.

*You will meet with your advisor at an assigned time on Day 1. When you are not attending advising, we invite you to view our main sessions to learn more about campus life. All main sessions will be recorded and shared on this page in case you'd like to view them again.
Your course registration time is on day two of your session. You will receive a registration time in your email. This time cannot be changed, so please plan accordingly.
Bring a laptop or tablet to complete the advising and course registration process. If you do not have a personal device, there will be laptops that you can borrow for your appointment.
During registration, each college will have a designated registration space in the Harper Center Ballroom. Please arrive to the Harper Ballroom 10-15 minutes ahead of your registration time.
All students have 24 hours to complete the course registration process starting at your assigned registration time. You must register for classes on a laptop or tablet and be in a location with stable internet connection; we do not recommend registering for classes on a mobile device. Zoom registration support rooms are available for virtual Summer Preview participants. More information will be shared to your Creighton email address the night before your assigned registration date.
Students will stay on campus during their summer preview program. All rooms come equipped with bed linens, towels, soap, pillow and blanket. We ask you bring the following:

Only service animals are allowed in the residence halls.
If you are arranging your own transportation to campus, please use the following address to get to campus: 602 N 20th St Omaha, NE 68178. This will drop you off near the Harper Center.
If you have already indicated to us that you would like transportation to/from the airport, a member of the Summer Preview team will contact you the day before your arrival to coordinate that trip.
Upon arrival, please park in one of the approved parking lots (Lots E95, E85, E75, E98, and the lower two levels of Parking Garage G5) and proceed to the Mike & Josie Harper Center to complete the check-in process.
You’ll see directional signage for the walk from the parking lots to the check-in location.
As a part of the Summer Preview experience, we invite students and families to give back to the Creighton Community by donating items to the Creighton Cupboard. The Creighton Cupboard is an on-campus food pantry that serves our undergraduate, graduate, and professional students impacted by food insecurity.

Yes, all first-year students must attend Summer Preview in order to register for classes. You'll get the chance to meet your peers, learn all about Creighton, and get a first look at where you'll be living for the next four years. Summer Preview is your first step as a Bluejay!
You will need to complete the Quantitative Assessment for New Students, a College Readiness Survey, and a Language Placement and Competency Exam prior to Summer Preview. You can find more details on these assessments here.
While not required to attend, we have programming and information sessions for families and we would love for you to join us! Each student can bring up to 2 guests for an additional fee of $75 per person. Housing and transportation are not provided for families.
