Helpful Tips for Summer Preview

Your course registration time is on day two of your session. You will receive a registration time in your email. This time cannot be changed, so please plan accordingly.

Bring a laptop or tablet to complete the advising and course registration process. If you do not have a personal device, there will be laptops that you can borrow for your appointment.

During registration, each college will have a designated registration space in the Harper Center Ballroom. Please arrive to the Harper Ballroom 10-15 minutes ahead of your registration time.

All students have 24 hours to complete the course registration process starting at your assigned registration time. You must register for classes on a laptop or tablet and be in a location with stable internet connection; we do not recommend registering for classes on a mobile device. Zoom registration support rooms are available for virtual Summer Preview participants. More information will be shared to your Creighton email address the night before your assigned registration date.

Students will stay on campus during their summer preview program. All rooms come equipped with bed linens, towels, soap, pillow and blanket. We ask you bring the following:

  • Toiletries
  • Water bottle
  • Laptop and charger

What to leave at home

Tobacco products

Creighton University is a tobacco-free campus that includes smokeless tobacco.

Pets

Only service animals are allowed in the residence halls.

If you are arranging your own transportation to campus, please use the following address to get to campus: 602 N 20th St Omaha, NE 68178. This will drop you off near the Harper Center.

If you have already indicated to us that you would like transportation to/from the airport, a member of the Summer Preview team will contact you the day before your arrival to coordinate that trip.

Upon arrival, please park in one of the approved parking lots (Lots E95, E85, E75, E98, and the lower two levels of Parking Garage G5) and proceed to the Mike & Josie Harper Center to complete the check-in process.

  • You’ll see directional signage for the walk from the parking lots to the check-in location.

As a part of the Summer Preview experience, we invite students and families to give back to the Creighton Community by donating items to the Creighton Cupboard. The Creighton Cupboard is an on-campus food pantry that serves our undergraduate, graduate, and professional students impacted by food insecurity.

Please consider bringing the following items to support the Creighton Cupboard:

  • Personal Hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene, diapers, etc.)
  • Non-perishable food items (breakfast bars, microwaveable meals, rice, pasta, broths, canned chicken)
  • Other items can be found on the Creighton Cupboard website
  • No expired items will be accepted
