Advance your career through our Occupational Therapy Fellowship programs. These programs were developed exclusively for occupational therapists (OTs) who are new graduates or early in their professional careers who want to become specialists and leaders in their focused area of practice. Advance your knowledge and abilities with hands-on learning, support to attend state and national conferences, teaching opportunities and more.
Creighton’s Gerontology, Neurology and Pediatric Fellowships are approved through the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Fellowships are 12-month programs that begin August 1 of each year. Total clinical practice time will be the equivalent of three to four days per week. Fellows teach specialty content throughout the entry-level occupational therapy curriculum and clinical labs. Fellows are valued members of the team and salaried Creighton employees with benefits, with no up-front tuition requirement for the experience.
The Creighton University Occupational Therapy Fellowship Programs in Pediatrics, Neurology and Gerontology align with our mission to create reflective occupational therapy practitioners who serve clients and their families with a focus on respect for diversity, local, national and global service, and holistic care.
Fellows will receive mentoring support by clinical faculty and other occupational therapy experts in the areas of clinical practice, professional communication, interprofessional collaboration, clinical and ethical reasoning, evidence-based practice, academia, specialized topics, advocacy and community service.
