Creighton faculty members conduct research to enhance teaching, to contribute to the betterment of society, and to discover new knowledge. Faculty and staff stimulate critical and creative thinking and provide ethical perspectives for dealing with an increasingly complex world.
The University Research Award is presented annually at the President's Convocation to recognize faculty for outstanding research and creative work. Nominations are due by Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Nominees must have a demonstrated record of nationally and internationally recognized research or creative work; must have engaged in scholarship that provides significant contributions to their profession or discipline; and must have a record of research and publication/creative accomplishment while at Creighton University. Nominations can come from any faculty member or department chair/school director in the University. The University Research Council recommends awarding two faculty each year with one in the health sciences and one in a non-health science area.
