Message from the OBGYN Program Director

Welcome! At Creighton University, we are proud of our long tradition of recruiting and training excellent obstetrician gynecologists. Our residents work with faculty from academic and community backgrounds which helps them to be well-rounded. Using the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, our residents are exposed to many different types of patient populations and learn to appreciate the patient as a whole while focusing on health disparities.

As a university-based program, the residents have a central role in the educational activities of our medical students, and their insight on curriculum enables growth and excitement for the specialty. Because of this, many of our own students choose to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology. With our clinical partner, CHI Health, we continue to be excited for growth and acclimation to our new Academic Medical Center.

The size of our program lends to the development of lifelong friendships and professional relationships, with many of our graduates remaining in the community to contribute to the formation of the next generation of women’s healthcare providers. My own experiences with the residents have been extremely rewarding and are what persuaded me to stay in this community.

Thank you for your interest in our program!
