Neurology Residency: How to Apply

Application Requirements

  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • USMLE/COMLEX Step 1 Score (Step 2 and 3 If Taken)
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • Dean’s Letter
  • Must be within five (5) years from medical school graduation including two (2) years of clinical experience
  • All requirements designated by the ECFMG for participation in the Match

*Note* - beyond the criteria we have outlined, we do take the entire application package into consideration as we review each candidate

Interview Disclosures

The Creighton Neurology Residency exclusively accepts applications through ERAS and participates solely in the NRMP. All supporting documentation is accepted through ERAS. Communication with applicants is done only through the ERAS email system.

Interview Process

  • Upon review of applications, the program will extend interview invitations to applicants via ERAS
  • Interview Date Selection:
    • You will be provided with a selection of date options to self-schedule in ERAS
    • After you have scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation with the details of your interview day
    • Changes cannot be made to interview dates within 7 days of the interview date

Virtual Interview Process

  • The interview day follows the following format:
    • Program Overview with Program Director
    • Four 20 Minute Faculty Interviews
    • Q&A and Conclusion
  • Virtual Meet and Greets with current residents are offered throughout the interview season to learn more about the program and ask questions
  • Applicants can attend the Neurology Grand Rounds the Friday of their interview date
