At Creighton University our gastroenterology fellowship program goal is to train clinically excellent gastroenterologists, leaders, and educators. Our mission is shaped by Jesuit values including “magis” -striving for excellence and “cura personalis” - individualized care of the whole person. We take pride in our fellows who are leaders in our medical center and community, and in our faculty who were recruited for their desire to teach. They are engaged and come from diverse educational backgrounds. All are committed to caring for patients from various social and economic backgrounds; those who need our care the most.
Our fellows receive a solid broad training in general gastroenterology with additional training in sub-specialty areas including advanced endoscopy, hepatology, motility and esophageal diseases, and inflammatory bowel disease. Our focus is on strong clinical and endoscopic training, but all fellows also have exposure, experience and support with research and furthering the field of gastroenterology and medicine. Creighton University Medical Center, a level 1 trauma and academic referral center, is our main clinical training site. Fellows also rotate at CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center and have some exposure at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital.
Omaha provides a very live-able city for our fellows with many accessible attractions and activities, a good cost of living, and high quality public schools.
Thank you for your interest in our Creighton University Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
