Endocrinology Fellowship Application Process

Applications

Fellowship applications are accepted only through ERAS. Applications are for fellowship start dates in July of the following year. The application requires:

  • Official medical school transcripts
  • Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations (USMLE, LMCC, COMLEX, NBOME, FMGEMS, FLEX, or NBME)
  • 3 letters of recommendation, one must be from the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director 
  • A curriculum vitae
  • A personal statement
  • A valid ECFMG certificate (for graduates from foreign medical schools)
  • A photograph

Passage of USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 is required before entering the fellowship program, but is not required at the time of application or interview.  Applicants are contacted via e-mail by the Program Director or Coordinator if selected for an interview.

Foreign Medical Graduates

Creighton University School of Medicine postgraduate training programs accept foreign medical graduates or foreign nationals who are US allopathic or osteopathic medical school graduates on a J-1 or J-2 Visa sponsored by ECFMG.  Sponsorship of the H-1B Visa is not available for the graduate medical education programs.

NRMP Specialty Matching Services

Applicants who interview for a fellowship position at Creighton University must register through the Endocrinology Subspecialty Match Program sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program Specialty Matching Services.    

Observerships

Creighton University Department of Internal Medicine does not offer or approve subspecialty observership rotations.
