Each year, Creighton students who are affiliated with the military or who are actively part of ROTC participate in study abroad programs to gain further global experiences, language skills, and credit toward graduation. These study abroad experiences can often enhance and compliment the international experience gained through the military.
Student veterans and families of veterans may use their Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) toward study abroad programs. The Global Engagement Office and the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs should be involved to ensure proper allocation of funding. If you receive VA benefits, be sure to begin the study abroad process as early as possible and indicate to the CGE that you receive these benefits, as there may be restrictions as to which study abroad programs are eligible.
