Language and culture are closely connected. Co-curricular activities facilitate the development of language skills in a real cultural context. Besides helping students learn the U.S. and the local culture, the IELI and B2C co-curricular activities offer students real-life speaking opportunities, and are an integral part of the program.
Co-curricular activities typically include visits to many area attractions, including Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Lincoln, the capital of the state of Nebraska. Students also attend campus lectures, performing arts series, games featuring Creighton's Division I teams, and participate in community service activities.
