The Dahl Fund was established to support undergraduate research by helping deserving students to have the opportunity to travel and participate in professional conferences. The student research fund was named in honor of Elizabeth A. Dahl because of her dedication to helping students achieve their potential. Generous support has enabled the Dahl Fund to grow since its initiation and students' interest in participating in research has also grown in the psychology department. The Dahl Fund has helped to defray the cost of traveling for many deserving students' presentations at regional meetings (e.g., Great Plains Student Psychology Convention, Nebraska Psychological Society, Midwestern Psychological Association), as well as national and international conferences (e.g., American Psychological Society, Society for Research on Child Development).
Psychology students interested in utilizing the Dahl Fund need to obtain an application from the Psychology Department Administrative Assistant. Student travel costs, lodging, food, and registration fees are all potential expenses that the Dahl Fund may finance. Distribution of the Dahl Fund is based on the availability of funds and the number of applications.
