The history minor provides students with historical perspectives and insights into the issues, events, ideas, and values that constitute the human experience. Students will learn essential analytical and communication skills to think critically about change and continuity in a variety of societies and cultures.

Requirements for the History Minor (18 Credits)

HIS 310: History Workshop (3 credits)

History Workshop is a hands-on introduction to the craft of researching and writing history. The course provides the analytical tools required to succeed in the history program and to produce high quality research projects in upper-division courses. The specific topic of study varies by instructor.

Fifteen additional credits in History at the 300-level or above.
