USD Student History Conference

For fifty years, the University of South Dakota has hosted an annual student history conference in the spring (generally in April). Sponsored by the USD Department of History and the Zeta Mu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society in history, the conference mirrors professional meetings of historians. Undergraduate students from a number of colleges in the Midwest present original research, and they also have the opportunity to critique and comment on the work of their peers. This represents an exciting chance for Creighton history majors to hone their skills and to receive awards for the best paper in a given field.
