Tour Our Buildings and Grounds

Below you will find descriptions and images of our amazing buildings and grounds.

Handy Maps:

The Manresa Prayer House has certainly grown over the years. The once, main level was raised to create more levels! This upper floor includes a conference room that seats 20-25 comfortably and kitchenette. The new main level offers 6 bedrooms with private bathrooms. The lower level became the new library; there are also a couple of sitting rooms and 2 more bedrooms. The library also offers a kitchenette and small groups find it a nice place to gather for short periods throughout a weekend, keeping in mind that it would be open to all other retreatants too. The bedrooms have a mix of rooms with 2 twin beds and others with queen beds.

Most of the cabins offer 2 levels and each level includes a living room area. The upper levels also include a kitchenette and we are working to update them and add kitchenettes to lower level living room areas.

These three cabins are clean and comfortable with heating and air conditioning, kitchenettes and spacious sitting rooms. Most bedrooms have 2 twin beds and each cabin has 2 levels.

Chabanel: Seven bedrooms - sleeps 14

Bedding and bath towels provided. The view of the woods from atop our heavily wooded hollow is extraordinary. In 2015, work on the exterior allowed time for new paint and carpeting throughout the lower level rooms.

Our beautiful St. Kateri Chapel is where we celebrate Mass and reserve the Blessed Sacrament. The many large windows offer scenic views of the woods and God's creation. There are also two rooms for private spiritual direction. The lower level consists of the Xavier Conference room with a fireplace, kitchenette and restrooms.

Our kitchen staff prepares and serves wonderful, home-made meals for our group retreats and other functions, such as group meetings, conferences, luncheons and special celebrations.

Our 157 wooded acres include three prayer gardens, abundant wildlife and several miles of trails. The Retreat Center sits on a bluff above the Nishnabotna River and many of our trails go to the river. You will see a large variety of birds, and deer are not uncommon.

Many people inquire about the variety of wildlife we have on our grounds. We are constantly amazed at the diversity of God's creation and have tried to capture some of it for your enjoyment here. Of course, nothing substitutes for experiencing this environment in person.
