Creighton Scholars Program

The Creighton Scholars Program is for academically exceptional applicants who have researched their law school options and are strongly considering attending the Creighton University School of Law. The Creighton Scholars Program exists as a mission-focused and cohort-based supplement in the law school.

In the spirit of the Jesuit, Catholic value of magis, Latin for “more,” our scholars take advantage of program benefits to identify and maximize the opportunities that bring out their best selves. Through varied engagement opportunities and a commitment to academic excellence, these students are provided with a guided pathway to find success, personally and professionally, as a Creighton lawyer.

Benefits of the Program

Students selected for the program will receive:

  • A full-tuition-and-fees scholarship for all three years, provided they remain in good standing
  • Mentorship with Creighton alumni
  • Access to featured speakers

Students will also serve as ambassadors for our Career Development Office, working with firms seeking law interns, and represent the school during the admission process with prospective students.

Application Process

Interested students must apply to the program. You can apply by checking the box on our law school application under the “Term” section. Select applicants will be offered an interview for the program.

This program provides applicants prompt review of their application for our most comprehensive scholarship, and there is no obligation at the time of application. Applicants are free to apply to other schools during the process of consideration.

If invited and an applicant accepts the offer to be in the Creighton Scholars Program, the program becomes binding, and the applicant must immediately withdraw all other applications to other schools (and agrees not to initiate any new applications). Once invited to become a scholar, a candidate has 10 business days to decide if they want to be in the program. (Acceptance is acknowledged by signing the binding contract and getting it back to the admissions office within the 10 business days.)

Applicants interested in the Creighton Scholars Program should have a superior academic record (both LSAT and GPA) and demonstrated leadership potential and/or significant volunteer and extracurricular experiences.
