Our JD Programs: Traditional, Accelerated and Reduced Schedule/ Part-Time
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Creighton University School of Law offers students a purposeful education rooted in academic excellence, social justice and personal growth. There are three ways to earn your law degree at Creighton—choose the one that works best for you.
Traditional Full-Time JD Program
Our traditional full-time JD program is three years and begins each fall. Students in this program are not required to take classes in the summer, allowing them to take advantage of experiential learning opportunities in the summer via externship and internship opportunities.
Two-Year Accelerated JD Program
Creighton’s two-year accelerated JD program (AJD) allows students to earn their law degree in two years instead of three years. Students in the AJD program take classes in four regular semesters (fall and spring) and two summer sessions.
Reduced Schedule or Part-Time JD Program
Creighton’s Reduced Schedule/Part-Time JD program allows students to obtain their JD in four to six years. Students attend classes with full-time students, but take a course load that fits their busy lives.
Dual Degree Programs
In addition to the various JD programs on offer at Creighton University School of Law, students may also wish to earn a graduate degree concurrently with their law degree. Two different options are available.
