Preparing student for success

As a top-ranked national university that prepares students for success, gives back to the community to create a more just world, and produces ground-breaking research–Creighton has both a great opportunity and responsibility to be a force for positive change.

Cluster Hire Initiative

Social justice is a cornerstone of Catholic, Jesuit education, and the commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging is integral to Creighton’s mission. In 2022–2023, we will pilot an initiative dedicated to integrated cross-disciplinary hiring, seeking colleagues whose line of inquiry in their teaching and/or research focuses on the topic of race and social justice.

New faculty selected for the initiative will work with current senior faculty from across the College of Arts and Sciences and will be encouraged to collaborate on efforts to advance equity, diversity, inclusion, justice and belonging. Additional faculty development support will be available for the new faculty, and they will be encouraged to engage with related programming offered by Creighton University’s Kingfisher Institute and our Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
