Dr. Skrabal currently serves as Director, Office of Experiential Education, at Creighton. She has spent 18 years devoted to experiential education (EE), originally overseeing EE for distance students with the advent of the first entry-level distance pathway. She completed her Pharm.D. Degree and Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1994 & 1995. She then began her career at Creighton and precepted students in ambulatory at the VA focusing on cardiovascular disease and diabetes until transitioning full-time into experiential in 2002. Dr. Skrabal has published numerous articles and presented locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally on experiential issues. Her EE scholarship focuses on assessing the experiential environment at pharmacy practice sites around the country and preceptor development. Dr. Skrabal resides in Omaha with her husband, John, also a pharmacist, and has 3 children, Lauren, Logan, and Luke. She enjoys running, yoga, and being a spectator for college sports, especially Husker Football & Volleyball and Husker & Bluejay Basketball.
