Professor Sattler graduated with her J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was Executive Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review. She is a member of Order of the Coif.
 
After law school, Professor Sattler was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin, United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. She was in private practice for nearly ten years, including as a partner at McGrath North in Omaha where she was a member of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution group.
