Kaitlyn (Kat) L. Ryan, MSN-Ed, RN is an Instructor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. Her teaching focuses on experiential learning, simulation, and clinical psychomotor skills training. Her research interests include transition to practice, new graduate RN resiliency, palliative/end of life care and dosage calculation education. She is currently researching researching dosage calculation teaching methods. She holds an MSN in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, a BSN from Arizona State University, and an ADN from Scottsdale Community College.
With extensive experience in both clinical practice and nursing education, Kaitlyn has served in various instructional and simulation coordinator roles, developing high-fidelity simulations and enhancing clinical learning environments. She is an active member of the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Her ongoing work aims to improve nursing education outcomes through innovative simulation strategies and interprofessional collaboration, ultimately strengthening the preparedness and resilience of future nurses.
