Kat Hirsch MSN, RN joined the College of Nursing in the Fall of 2012 as an Special clinical nursing instructor. During that time she worked on a Medical Surgical floor at the VA Medical Center in Omaha NE. In 2012 she completed a Nursing Fellowship in Research studying under nursing theorist, Dr. Jean Watson. With this fellowship, Kat became a certified Caritas Coach In 2014 she left the bedside in order to devote more time to her passion - teaching. In 2016 she joined the Creighton University College of Nursing in Omaha as a full time faculty member. WIth this appointment she teaches heavily in the clinical areas of Long Term Care, Acute Care Med surg and Ortho Trauma. In January 2022, she transferred to the Phoenix campus where she teaches in the ABSN program in Acute Care Med surg courese as well as Populations and Health Assessment.
