Adam B. Kuenning, JD, LLM
Instructor
Mr. Kuenning is a lawyer and an educator. He primarily serves as in-house legal counsel for a leading senior care provider in Nebraska and Iowa. In addition, he helps craft and interpret health law and policy as a member of the Nebraska Board of Medicine & Surgery, Nebraska Center for Nursing, and as a founding member of Creighton University School of Law’s Health Law program.
Adam’s legal work involves serving as counselor to senior and board leadership on all aspects of the industry of health care. Professionally, he has helped practitioners, hospital systems, pharmaceutical companies, and insurers navigate the quagmire of local, state, and federal rules and regulations applicable to their services. His educational background includes teaching undergraduate accounting, finance, and political science classes. However, his course offerings these days all focus on graduate level study of health law and policy.
Before becoming an attorney, Adam spent ten years in aerospace. He served as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration, and contract administrator with the Department of Defense. As a civilian, he even supervised an air medical transport dispatch center, where he worked at the legal and regulatory intersection of health care and aerospace.
Adam is committed to helping demystify health law and regulation through clear discussion and critical analysis.
