Michael Hyun-ook Kim, MD, MMM

Professor

Michael H. Kim, MD, MMM is a Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Medicine.  He is a graduate of Princeton University, the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Carnegie-Mellon University; all post-graduate medical training was at the University of Michigan.  He has served in leadership roles as Chief of Cardiology, Director of the Arrhythmia Service, Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory, Chief Academic Officer, and as a Fellowship Director both in Electrophysiology and Cardiology.  Prior positions have been in institutions such as Northwestern University, The Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Rush University, and Washington University in St. Louis.  He is the author or co-author of over 200 manuscripts and abstracts and serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm.  He also serves as an Editorial referee for several other impact journals.  He is recognized for cardiovascular outcomes as it relates to arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, health care disparities, and other electrophysiology-related areas.  He has been noted multiple times as a Castle-Connolly Top Doctor in Electrophysiology.
