Jenna Espinal

Program Coordinator for Local Community Engagement

I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. I graduated from Creighton University with a B.A. in Spanish and Hispanic Studies and a B.S. in Health Administration and Policy in 2017 and again in 2022 with a M.S in Organizational Leadership. During undergrad, I participated in 3 Fall & Spring Break Service & Justice Trips in the SCSJ, was a part of the Cortina community, and studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and Spain. I moved to Costa Rica upon graduation to volunteer with FrancisCorps, where I worked for a year at a center for vulnerable women and children. I then moved to the Dominican Republic to work with Creighton University – Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC), where I spent six years, first as a Graduate Assistant and then as a Program Coordinator. I am passionate about connecting with my local and global communities and cultivating a more just and loving world. In my free time, I love to travel, dance bachata and merengue, cook, find new things to do and eat, and spend time outdoors with my family and my dog, Charlie.
