Doreen James, MA, CCC-SLP

Doreen James is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist who joined the Creighton Pediatric Therapy team in September 2018. She comes with over 20 years of medical-based experience working with children of all ages. She has extensive experience with feeding and swallowing disorders as well as with expressive/receptive language disorders, augmentative alternative communication, voice, verbal apraxia and articulation.

Doreen has worked in a variety of clinical settings including both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and has been a part of several multidisciplinary teams. Most recently, Doreen dedicated 9 years to working at Children’s Respite Care Center where she treated medically fragile children and was the Clinical Team Lead and subsequent Director of Rehabilitation.
