Jerome F . Gradoville, DDS

After receiving his undergraduate degree in psychology in 1984 from Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Gradoville obtained his dental degree (DDS) from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1988. He subsequently began practing general dentistry privately in the Omaha area with his father. In addition, he applied for and was hired as an adjuct faculty in the department of Prosthodontics at Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1988, beginning an interest in dental academics.
Over the next 28 years, Dr. Gradoville provided dental care in his private practice while simultaneously employed as an adjunct faculty to teach students at Creighton. He also completed two full continuums at the Pankey Institute for advanced study with emphasis in the sector of Fixed Prosthodontics, Occlusion, and Occlusal Splint Therapy. Following this, he was part of a small study club learning the nuances of the Tanner splint and its work flow.
In 2018, Dr. Gradoville sold his family dental practice and was hired as an assistant professor in the Prosthodontics Department at Creighton University School of Dentistry. He currently teaches both preclinical and clinical students. He is course director of the D2 Fixed Prosthodontics lecture and laboratory courses, as well as course director of D3 and D4 Fixed Prosthodontics clinical courses.
Dr. Gradoville's interests in academia include utilizing digital scanning to objectively assess student preclinical work, teaching Fixed Prosthodontics using a manikin to simulate real life situations, and teaching Occlusal splints via printed pathway or analog pathway using the Tanner splint method of fabrication.
