Dr. Nownes develops divisional student policies and the Student Handbook, directing the operations of the student behavioral misconduct process for on and off-campus student cases. Dr. Nownes leads educational programming on assigned dimensions of wellness and assists in responding to students in need of intervention. She supports efforts to enhance student retention and success. With others, she serves as a University Responder on Call when offices are closed. Lastly, Dr. Nownes serves as the Title IX Deputy Coordinator for the University and partners with the Office of Title IX and Civil Rights Compliance in all matters related to student incidents.
Dr. Nownes reports to the Vice Provost for Student Life. Dr. Nownes holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Regis University, a Master of Science in Counseling degree from Creighton University and a Doctorate in Education from Creighton University.
