Cathy Lopez, Community Connector

Catalina Lopez (Cathy) is originally from California and attended Cypress College. She studied communications and public relations . Cathy and her family moved to Omaha in 2009. Cathy’s passion is to help families prosper and grow.

Cathy worked for Omaha Public Schools for 10 years as a Community Bilingual Liaison, where she translated documents, interpreted for staff, families, and students. She worked closely with community resources to provide assistance to families.

Cathy is Bilingual in Spanish and has over 15 years’ experience working with different backgrounds and ethnicities in the community.

Her strong passion to help families prosper and grow is achieved through her engagement with families and connecting them to accessible resources and creating a bridge for their long-term independence.
