Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy - Phoenix, Clinician Educator/Non-Tenure Track

Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, invites applications for a full-time (12 month) faculty position in our innovative Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Phoenix, Arizona. This position will be at the Assistant Professor level, with a Clinician Educator-Track appointment in the Department of Physical Therapy.  Creighton seeks a quality educator who is passionate about advancing the profession of physical therapy through innovation, creativity, and a desire to contribute to the scientific evidence in rehabilitation science.  This faculty member will possess a clinical doctorate in physical therapy with a board-certified specialty. The position will be responsible for assistance in coordinating clinical education, teaching in the curriculum, fulfilling a scholarly agenda, and participating in professional and community-based service.  Of particular interest are candidates with areas of specialty or expertise in Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Wound Management, Clinical Electrophysiology, Exercise Physiology, Prosthetics/Orthotics, or Practice Management and the Health Care System.

This program is part of Creighton’s comprehensive Phoenix health science campus that includes academic disciplines in medicine, physician assistant, nursing, pharmacy, and occupational therapy. We are located centrally in midtown Phoenix. In addition to state-of-the-art facilities, the Phoenix campus is home to faculty with contemporary expertise and diverse research agendas. Qualifications

  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona. 
  • A record of involvement in clinical education and teaching are preferred. 
  • Department and University teaching and service expectations are dependent upon applicant experience and background.  
  • Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.  
  • Employment to begin after January 1, 2025.
