Independent Research

Psychology majors are encouraged to conduct independent research, in which they collaborate with a faculty member on a research project. Working directly with a faculty mentor who supervises their research efforts provides excellent training in the science of psychology and a terrific way for students to gain valuable professional experience. This type of research experience, from project development all the way through to the presentation and publication of the results, sets Creighton psychology students apart and has helped them gain admission to high quality graduate programs in psychology, as well as professional programs of all types (e.g., law schools, medical schools, business schools).

Here is a recent sample of the research efforts of Creighton's psychology majors, their presentations at regional, national, and international conferences, and their professional publications.
