Inspired by the Catholic and Jesuit tradition, our community believes that every human being is a profound gift of God, deserving of both dignity and opportunity. We thus strive to acknowledge and celebrate community at Creighton—building the welcoming spaces and relationships that are required for every person to thrive.
At Creighton, we’re committed to creating a welcoming space for learning, living and working. Everyone in our community is charged to foster an environment of awareness and compassion for all, regardless of age, culture, faith, ethnicity, immigrant status, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, physical appearance, physical ability or social class.
Creighton has a long-standing tradition of encouraging students, faculty, and staff to engage with issues of identity and community. The Creighton Intercultural Center (CIC), originally established in 1969 as a response to the Civil Rights Movement, continues to support students through advocacy, leadership development, academic resources, events and mentorship. Additional programs and groups include the Bias Education and Support Team, the Creighton Allies Program, the Eileen B. Lieben Center for Women, the Intercultural Student Engagement Council, the Multicultural Enrichment Institute (MEI), and numerous student-led cultural organizations.
