Welcome! We invite you to join us for:

  • Service in the Omaha Community
    • Semester long, committed service applications are due at the beginning of each semester. If you are interested in our programming and want to be the first to know about future applications/programs, please fill out our interest form.
    • SCSJ Weekly Service options allow for one time sign ups throughout the semester. Sign up with Creighton Engage. (log in with your Creighton account).
    • Students, faculty, staff and alumni can find additional volunteer opportunities through Creighton Engage (Use your Creighton log in account if you have one otherwise sign up for a new free account).
    • We are grateful for all our volunteers and great community partners. This fall we facilitated 24 community engagement groups with 363 volunteers serving 4596.74 hours. This spring we host 26 groups with 270 students each week.  
  • Service & Justice Trips each Fall and Spring Break.
    • Fall Break 2025 participant applications are due April 22.

Father John P. Schlegel, SJ, served as president of Creighton University 2000-2011. His leadership illuminated service and justice as inherent in the university mission.
