The Creighton University Campus Pharmacy in downtown Omaha  serves the public with a wide range of convenient health services—from immunizations to blood pressure monitoring and glucose meter education. Our goal is to meet both your health maintenance and medication management needs. Prescriptions for patients and their families can be refilled by phone and picked up at the campus clinic.

Pharmacy parking is provided in the north lot (Lot A). The pharmacy is located right inside the main entrance.

Immunizations

The Creighton University Campus pharmacy provides the following immunizations: 

  • Influenza 
  • Shingles 
  • Hepatitis B 
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) 

No scheduling is required—walk-ins are welcome. However, immunizations are not offered over the lunch hour (Noon–1 p.m.) as we reduce staff during this time.

Please call us at 402.449.4560 and provide the name and location of your current pharmacy, as well as the name or prescription number of any medication you’d like to transfer.  

Yes, we have a variety of OTC products at low prices. If you’re looking for something we don’t normally keep in stock, we're usually able to get it within 24 hours. 

Yes. Depending on your insurance plan, we may need additional information from you or a prior authorization for certain forms of contraception.

This is a process implemented by your insurance company to both ensure compliance with the Preferred Drug List (PDL) and keep costs down for the University and its employees. If your insurance plan requires prior authorization for one of your prescribed medications, the pharmacist will contact your prescriber—who will then discuss the drug’s intended use and coverage with your insurance company. If a prior authorization is denied, the insurance company will not cover any of the medication’s cost. 

Creighton Employee Questions

Employees may fax new prescriptions to the pharmacy, although the actual prescription must be presented upon pickup or delivery. Please include a cover sheet with your faxed prescription.  

Yes, the service is available to Creighton employees who work on the Omaha campus. In fact, we accept most insurance plans. You simply need to complete and submit both the delivery form and the delivery waiver

Yes, both Creighton and CHI employees will receive a 10 percent discount on OTC products, and we can add OTC items to any employee prescription delivery. 

Medication Therapy Management (MTM)

Medication Therapy Management (MTM) optimizes therapeutic outcomes for individual patients. The Center’s MTM program is dedicated to providing annual comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs) for Medicare beneficiaries.

A CMR is a one-on-one discussion with a patient in which the pharmacist reviews all of a patient’s medications including prescription and nonprescription medications, herbal products and dietary supplements. During a CMR, drug therapy issues such as drug interactions, nonadherence and gaps in patient care are identified and addressed with the patient. The discussion also provides a unique opportunity for patients to ask questions or address concerns about their medications.

At the conclusion of the CMR, a personal medication list (PML) and medication action plan (MAP), is generated for the patient.  

  • The PML is a comprehensive list of the patient’s medications (prescription and nonprescription medications, herbal products and dietary supplements).
  • The MAP contains a list of actions for the patient to use in tracking progress for self-management. The MAP is also shared with the patient’s healthcare provider(s) to ensure effective communication among the healthcare team.

The Center for Medication Therapy Management has partnered with AdhereHealth, a nationally renowned provider of MTM services. Through this partnership, the Center will serve as a provider group for the delivery of MTM services to contracted CMS-regulated health plans.
