Resident Assistant Professor - Philosophy

Description

The Department of Philosophy at Creighton University invites applications for a non-tenure-track resident assistant professor with a teaching competence in ethics for a one-year appointment. We seek individuals committed to being outstanding teacher-scholars within a primarily undergraduate-serving college. The successful applicant will teach a 4-4 course load teaching foundational courses.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Philosophy is preferred; ABD will be considered
  • Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs is required
  • Evidence of excellent college-level teaching is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations are required
  • Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others are required
