Description

The department of Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions at Creighton University invites applications for a non-tenure track Resident Assistant Professor for a one-year appointment with specialization in human physiology and applied immunology. We seek individuals who are committed to outstanding teaching and value a strong collegial atmosphere within a primarily undergraduate-serving college. The successful applicant will be assigned 12 credit hours per semester and be responsible for teaching foundational and advanced courses in human physiology, applied immunology, and other courses as needed by the department.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD) in exercise science or a closely related field is preferred, ABD will be considered
• Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs 
• Evidence of excellent college level teaching is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English, with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations 
• Empathy and compassion for the experience of others
