Description

The department of Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions at Creighton University invites applications for a non-tenure track Resident Assistant Professor for a one-year appointment with specialization in nutrition, physiology, and career preparation. We seek individuals who are committed to outstanding teaching and value a strong collegial atmosphere within a primarily undergraduate-serving college. The successful applicant will be assigned 12 credit hours per semester and be responsible for teaching upper-level courses in human nutrition, introductory human physiology, career preparation, and other courses as needed by the department.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD) in exercise science or a closely related field is preferred, ABD will be considered
• Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs 
• Evidence of excellent college level teaching is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English, with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations
• Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others
