Creighton graduates have a sound reputation among residency program directors throughout the country and secure top residencies at competitive sites. Ninety-nine percent of residency program directors say they are happy to have additional Creighton graduates in their programs.

Creighton faculty and our nationwide alumni base work closely with and mentor M4s to prepare them for a successful match.

The class of 2025, comprised of 121 students in Omaha and 97 students in Phoenix, enjoyed a successful Match Day on March 21, 2025. 100% of students matched into a residency program, and 94% matched into their specialty of choice.

The four most popular specialties were Internal Medicine (46), Pediatrics (21), Family Medicine (21) and Diagnostic Radiology (21)
In order of popularity, the other specialties were General Surgery (20), Psychiatry (17), Anesthesiology (15), Emergency Medicine (9), Obstetrics and Gynecology (8), Ophthalmology (5), Neurological Surgery (4), Dermatology (3), Medicine/Pediatrics (3), Neurology (3), Otolaryngology (3), Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (3), Plastic Surgery (3), Child Neurology (2), Interventional Radiology (2), Radiation Oncology (2), Pathology (1), Urology (1) and Transitional Year (1) programs.
Students matched into residencies in 34 states and the District of Columbia. Top states included Arizona (37), California (31), Nebraska (16), Texas (13), Minnesota (11), Illinois (10), Missouri (9), North Carolina (7), Ohio (7), to name just a few.
The prestigious programs with which students matched included Creighton University, Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, Barrow Neurological Institute, Northwestern, Rush, Cleveland Clinic, Brown, Georgetown, Oregon Health & Sciences, Harbor-UCLA, UCSF, UC-San Diego, Barnes-Jewish/WashU in St. Louis, Emory, Vanderbilt, Duke, Stanford, among many others.
