Honor Societies

The Organizations that Recognize Excellence

At Creighton, we recognize students who are admirable examples of our Jesuit, Catholic values. A significant way we do this is through our chapters of the Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. Learn about these organizations’ histories, benefits and eligibility qualifications below.

Alpha Sigma Nu (ΑΣΝ)

Alpha Sigma Nu is the honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities. It seeks to promote the core principles of Jesuit education—scholarship, loyalty and service—while recognizing students who exemplify these values.

Phi Beta Kappa (ΦΒΚ)

Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest academic honor society for the liberal arts and sciences in the United States—founded in 1776. The society recognizes students based on broad cultural interests, scholarly achievement and good character.
