Led by the Institute for Population Health, Creighton at Highlander is a vital partner in the community. Explore how Creighton is making a difference in the community, at Highlander and beyond.
Creighton’s School of Law operates its Juvenile Justice Legal Clinic (JJLC) monthly at Creighton at Highlander. The JJLC operates like a small law firm staffed by Creighton University third-year law students under the guidance of supervising attorneys. The clinic provides free legal services for youth ages 11–19 with open cases in the separate Douglas County Juvenile Court. The JJLC works in partnership with Creighton Community Connections.
Creighton Community Connections, another program of the University’s School of Law, builds one-on-one relationships with young people and families to help them access resources available in the community. Community Connections employees can help connect families with educational resources, mental health resources, food and housing stability, parenting support, activities and sports, and more.
