Christine Maureen Young, MS, RN

Assistant Professor

Christine Young, MSN, RN is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Clinical Nurse Leadership from Creighton University. Her research interests include self-care for healthcare professionals, patient safety, and nursing education.

Christine has authored several publications on topics like QSEN competencies and safe patient handling in nursing education, with articles published in the Journal of Nursing Education and Nurse Educator. She has presented nationally and regionally on the importance of self-care in nursing, including award-winning research on faculty work-life balance.

In the classroom, Christine leads a variety of courses, including Nursing Care Management and Self-Care for Healthcare, fostering the development of nursing students and educators. Her work is deeply focused on enhancing healthcare resilience and advancing clinical education.
