Dr. Lucas Manning, DNP, MSN, RN, CHSE, is an Assistant Professor and Simulation Lab Coordinator in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. His research focuses on simulation-based education, learning, and evaluation. Dr. Manning holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Public Health Policy from Nebraska Methodist College and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University. His clinical background includes emergency and trama care nursing. His recent scholarly projects include evaluating simulation as a tool for competency assessment and exploring innovative teaching strategies such as immersive virtual reality and clinical escape rooms. He has published in Public Health Nursing and Clinical Simulation in Nursing. A recipient of the Joan M. Lappe Excellence in Scholarship Award, Dr. Manning’s work advances health equity and competency-based education, aiming to foster a stronger, more socially responsive nursing workforce.
