Aimee Lea Burch, DNP, APRN-CNS, CMSRN, SCRN

Associate Professor

Dr. Aimee Burch is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. Her research interests encompass palliative care education, undergraduate writing, and evidence-based practice implementation. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University in Advanced Practice Leadership and is certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, Medical-Surgical nurse, and Stroke Certified nurse. Her recent scholarly work includes assisting CHI Health St. Francis with an interprofessional study on opioid-induced respiratory suppression and collaborating on palliative and end-of-life student education. She has been recognized as a top-25 Nebraska Nurse of the Year and the Creighton University College of Nursing Excellence in Teaching Award. Her research aims to increase student understanding of evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes in practice.
