Amy Henderson

Administrative Assistant for the Office of Admission

Amy Henderson’s career in healthcare began with her role as a development coordinator for the Nebraska AIDS Project, which led her to positions with the Metro Omaha Medical Society and the Nebraska Credentials Verification Organization (NCVO). While working with MOMS and NCVO, Amy contributed to a grant-funded physician burnout screening initiative and served as the administrator of the Immunization Task Force of Nebraska. She also worked on the for-profit side, helping healthcare providers navigate the credentialing process for hospital privileges.

Amy’s experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the institutions that train future healthcare practitioners. Now, as the administrative assistant for the Office of Admission at Creighton University, she is excited to help promote the University’s mission and quality education while working closely with students as they begin their educational journeys.
Amy holds an associate’s degree in business administration from Iowa Western Community College and joined Creighton in February 2025. Although she is new to working with pre-health science students, she looks forward to seeing students' pride when their hard work culminates in graduation.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her two children, volunteering with local organizations like Fontenelle Forest, Memories for Kids, and the Durham Museum, and serving on their Boards of Directors and Guild Boards.
