Dr. Abel’s laboratory focuses on peripheral nerve regulation of tissue functions as drug targets for treatment of disease. Currently, the role of G protein coupled receptors and their signaling mechanisms controlling airway and vascular function are being studied in asthma, pulmonary hypertension and other conditions.
