Honors Program Academics

Academic Benefits of the Honors Program

  • Flexibility: The Honors Curriculum has fewer requirements than the Magis Core Curriculum so students can pursue a highly individualized program of study. Many honors students double or even triple major.

  • Interdisciplinary Exploration: Honors classes interweave multiple topics and the curriculum’s flexibility allows students to explore what they are passionate about and interested in.

  • Priority Registration: Honors students register for classes first (along with students of other special programs) which gives students a higher likelihood of getting into classes they are interested in and alleviates stress during registration.

  • Tuition Waivers: Students may take three additional credits without fees.

  • Advising: Students have an individual faculty honors advisor and take a freshman year advisory class with other honors students.
