Assistant Professor

Dr. Sheridan joined the faculty at Creighton University College of Nursing in 2018, located at the Phoenix Campus.  She is a member of the Undergraduate Accelerated Nursing Faculty, specializing in psychiatric mental health and critical care.  Her primary research interests include classroom instruction, active learning, flipped classroom, simulation techniques in mental health, technology in learning, and curriculum and instruction best practices to achieve positive student outcomes.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Sheridan is active with a number of specialty  task forces working on advancing both student experience and student outcomes.  Dr. Sheridan is currently appointed to the research committee and undergraduate curriculum and assessment committee in the College of Nursing.  Dr. Sheridan is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau, serving as the Vice President of the Phoenix Campus.  In addition, she is an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nursing, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association; serving as Secretary to the local Arizona Chapter, and the Arizona Nurses Association.
