He specializes in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy and especially on questions in ancient Greek ethics, metaethics, psychology, and philosophical method. His current research project focuses on Aristotle's account of happiness, virtue, action, and ethical method in his overlooked ethical work the
Eudemian Ethics and its relation to the more famous
Nicomachean Ethics.
