Chase Becker is the Liturgy Coordinator for Creighton University and St. John’s Parish and has been involved with various aspects of worship for most of his life. He is passionate about the history, theology, and practice of worship and seeks to help the Christian community connect worship to lived experiences, so that Christians may see themselves as the Body of Christ and feel called to share the Gospel message with the world.
Chase graduated from St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and later went on to study liturgy at Saint John’s School of Theology & Seminary in Collegeville, Minnesota. Most recently, he served as the Pastoral Assistant at Corpus Christi Catholic Community in Lawrence, Kansas.
In addition to his work at Campus Ministry and St. John’s Parish, Chase is also a member of the Santa Lucia Festival Committee and the Knights of Columbus. He is also an avid hobbyist, enjoying diverse activities such as reading, candle making, bookbinding, and cooking. As a native Nebraskan, Chase constantly seeks opportunities to explore the art, architecture, religion, and culture of his home state and occasionally writes about these experiences on his blog, The Steeplechase.
