Creighton University School of Medicine has been dedicated to forming medical students in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition- mind, body and soul- for over 130 years. Cura personalis, “care for the whole person,” is at the heart of not only how we form future physicians, but also how Creighton physicians serve patients.
Between our two campuses, 850+ medical students are on their way to become world changers in medicine and beyond.
Opened in 2023 on the Omaha campus, the CL and Rachel Werner Center for Health Sciences Education brings together future physicians, nurses, OTs, PTs, physician assistants and EMS technicians under one roof. The 145,000-square-foot facility is outfitted with simulation labs, exam rooms, skills lab, study and socialization lounges, a dedicated medical student locker room and an outdoor terrace.
Opened in 2021, the 195,000-square-foot Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Health Sciences Building is centrally located in the Phoenix Medical Quarter. The facility features cutting-edge technology, equipment and spaces. Here, students explore collaborative care and become compassionate leaders in healthcare.
Through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, Phoenix students have access to a wide range of facilities, affiliated with Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Valleywise Health and District Medical Group.
At Creighton, students and faculty conduct research that saves lives, contributes to the betterment of society and brings new discoveries to the world. Faculty and staff stimulate critical and creative thinking in students while providing ethical perspectives.
They are making discoveries and developing new therapies in bacterial resistance, cancer, hearing loss and the conditions that impact bone health and loss.
